Director of Production Control in Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Alimohammad Bosaghzadeh recounted on latest status of production and exports of petrochemicals in Iran saying “since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (began March 20, 2016), the country’s petrochemical and polymer output has set a new record by reaching 50 million tons.”
He pointed to the eight-percent growth in petchem production of the country in the past eleven months as compared to the corresponding period last year asserting “moreover, domestic sales of petrochemicals have soared by 10% in the present year.”
The official wnen on to report on an 8-percent growth is exports figures of petrochemical materials in the ongoing Iranian year emphasizing that the uplift in Iran’s petchem output resulted from the rise in feedstock supply brought about by operation of new South Pars phases.
CEO of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) Marzieh Shah-Daei recently said actual output of Iran’s petrochemical products will climb to about 51 million tons saying “moreover, it is estimated that by mid-March, nearly 20.2 million tons of Iranian petrochemicals worth approximately $9.5 billion will have been exported.”
She had also referred to operation of 12 new petrochemical units in line with Resistance Economy policies reiterating “these projects have added an aggregate total of six million tons to the country’s output capacity while five more plans are expected to come on stream half way through the upcoming Iranian year.”
